In Bangladesh almost every year rivers in the north started to rise in early July and by the 20th of July nearly all of them started to flow over the danger level. This year it caused floods in 6 districts, namely, Lalmonirhat, Kurigram, Gaibandha, Jamalpur, Sirajganj and Sunamganj, initially. Then 11 more districts (Bogra, Rangpur, Nilphamari, Faridpur, Rajbari, Tangail, Madaripur, Shariatpur, Manikganj, Dhaka and Kustia) became affected by floods.

In these districts, flood water entered in, put together, 67 numbers of upazilas. It inundated crop fields and dwelling areas, washed away standing crops, houses and households assets, livestock and displaced the affected people. Inner Wheel Clubs under D345 distributed dry food, water, saline &  medicines to those areas.
